Marienburg Castle is often used as a backdrop for large and small film and television productions.

Entry for Maxton Hall fans
On July 20, 2024, we held an open day at the Maxton Hall filming location. It was a successful event with beautiful weather. 200 Maxton Hall fans visited the castle. The grounds and courtyard were open to the public, and there was a guided tour of the park. Some were disappointed that they couldn't go inside the castle, but this is not possible due to the current state of construction. They understood this.
Our guests had the opportunity to look into the Knights' Hall, the Maxton Hall "classroom", once from the castle courtyard and again as part of the park tour from the terrace.
The DHC lacrosse team showcased their skills in front of the castle. Food and drinks were also available, including delicious small cakes and pastries from the Mundus Fine Art Bakery and an on-the-rocks cocktail service. They supplied us from Hanover, and next to them was Tim*s Crêpe Fahrrad from Heidelberg.
We look forward to a continuation of such events, which contribute to the preservation of the foundation and an improvement in the image of Marienburg Castle.
